Hello. My name is Dave Petersen and I am running for mayor. I believe in “Less Government – Lower Taxes – More Individual Responsibility.” I am quite different from what you are used to in elected officials. Out of the 6 candidates currently running for mayor, I am the only one who has successfully worked to reduce your taxes. In fact… the only time taxes have been cut in Gilbert’s 88 year history was while I was serving on the town council!
I am clearly the most informed when it comes to knowing the proper role of government in our lives here in Gilbert.
Lower Taxes – Control of the budget is achieved by cutting spending. It is not done by raising taxes.
Less Government – We don’t need a “nanny” state with all its rules, regulations and control over our lives.
More Individual Responsibility means we are each responsible for our own lives, our own homes and our own children.
